Letter from the President – 2023

Letter from the President – 2023

Dear Members and Fellow Boaters,

Ground Hog Day has passed and I am so looking forward to another year of boating on the Chesapeake Bay. I trust all of you are doing the same.

We’re kicking off the 2023 season with our annual meeting, which will be held this year at the Fleet Reserve Club of Annapolis on Sunday February 26th at 12:30. We’ll discuss plans for the upcoming annual festival and the schedule for some fun on the water activities. Getting together with members and friends of MMHF, both new and old, will be a great way to start off the New Year so mark your calendars.

Speaking of the annual festival, the Show is On! Chestertown is welcoming us back for the 2nd annual Maryland Maritime Heritage Festival on June 3, 2023 to be held in Wilmer Park and the Chestertown Marina. Last year’s inaugural event was a tremendous success that was enjoyed by all in attendance and we have plans to make this year’s event even bigger and better!

Beyond these two events, our focus will move towards on the water activities, camaraderie, and the incredible opportunities for enjoying our boats that lie ahead. I am personally looking forward to seeing our membership of antique, classic and historical boat enthusiasts continue to support each other and our passion as we work to preserve and enjoy the maritime heritage of Maryland.

Be Well, and Make Waves!

Ralph

MMHF President
